We always love a bright kitchen, a spacious living room, and a cozy bedroom—but we must not forget the kids' room!
Rooms for littles are just as important as any other room in the home, and they can be so fun to design. Additionally, these are special spaces where memories are made for our tiny people.
For today's blog we offer a few helpful suggestions to keep in mind when styling children's room to ensure they are pretty, functional and full of character!
We had so much fun designing the kids' room of our MV project (shown above). The client described their two girls as adventurous + artsy, so the design embodies those traits with it's fun custom bunk beds and life jacket focal wall by Sara Fitz. And how cute is that tee pee?
HAVE FUN WITH WALLPAPER
Kids' spaces should be just as creative and imaginative as they are! A great way to transform a regular room into a little person hideaway is to incorporate wallpaper. It has the ability to tie the entire design together.

LEAVE ROOM TO GROW

SOFT RUGS + TEXTILES
For added warmth and coziness, a big, plush rug is essential to a kids' room. Not only are they comfortable for children to step foot on (and adults, too!) but they can add necessary pattern & texture to the design.

OPEN SHELVING + EASY STORAGE
Open shelves in the kids' room allow you to combine the benefits of a handy storage space and a lovely display with ease. Add baskets for a "no-fuss" cute aesthetic to stowaway toys and small objects!
