Welcome to our design studio!

If you joined us for our Grande Opening event, you already received the full tour in person. However, after much anticipation, we are eager to finally share the completed space as well as the before photos with you all! We’ll start with our design studio located on the second floor; the space where our team works diligently to make our clients visions become a reality.

A Welcoming Moment

Upon arriving at the top of the stairs, you a greeted with a custom banquette sofa. Whether we’re meeting with clients or sketching out or latest ideas, we designed this piece to fit perfectly in the space and offer an additional seating option. We chose a soft, calming blue velvet fabric to add a touch of color in an otherwise neutral space. We worked collaboratively with a workroom based out of New York to customize every inch of this piece, down to the French tufted mattress detailing.

Originally, the second floor had somewhat of an awkward layout hosting two separate offices and two bathrooms. We removed the walls and one of the bathrooms to maximize the floor plan and create a completely open space. It was important to us to create this welcoming moment as you enter the designer workspace.

The Designer Workspace

The designer workspace is outfitted with four workstations and sample library containing a full assortment of samples offered at varying price points, qualities, and styles. While working through each of our projects, the island serves as a place to lay out fabric and material samples and see how our designs will come together. What appears here to be a completely neat and organized space often looks quite disheveled while the design is being worked on and finalized.

In addition, this is where we invite our clients to join us as we unveil their design presentation. Each individual sample will be laid out for them so they can see and feel the quality of each element in person. During this time, we take a collaborative approach to work through the details of their specific project.

Designer Workstations

We have four workstations to accommodate each of our team members. From design to marketing and the behind the scenes of our Mac & Co. Shoppe, this is where all of our ideas and projects start and come to life. Not to mention, the long countertops provide the perfect opportunity to use our favorite Mac & Co. Shoppe items for both storage and organization and to make the space feel more like a home.

The Bathroom

The bathroom was designed with both form and function in mind. We took a dated space and what is often an overlooked area to create something truly special. With a limited footprint, it was important for us to consider and select each element with intent in order to create an impactful moment.

The vanity was designed to look like a furniture piece and was handcrafted by a local cabinet maker. We selected this Ralph Lauren wallpaper to add a bit of personality and make a subtle statement. For the countertops, we sketched out this unique design and worked with a local marble supplier to source the perfect stone. To add character, we’ve included a few vintage pieces such as the mirror, horse artwork, basket, and chair.

This small space is packed with bold design choices that work in harmony to create an inviting and relaxing environment.

The Conference Room

We designed this specific space to function as both an office and conference space. We selected a large dining table to ground the room and paired it with comfortable upholstered seating. We love how this look could easily be replicated in either a dining room or office / conference space.

Not shown here (but to be photographed soon) is also a custom built-in desk that hosts one work station. We are currently using this desk as our Mac & Co. Shoppe cash wrap and to store shoppe necessities such as gift bags, tissue paper, gift cards, etc. However, we wanted to demonstrate possible options to consider when designing a home office space, both custom and ready made.

The Living Area

As part of our boutique lifestyle showroom, we wanted to include a few examples of the furnishings we would design for your home. For example, this is a custom sofa we designed with our workroom in which we determined the specific dimensions, arm style, cushion type, and fabric. When working with our full service design clients, we are able customize each upholstered piece to fit their specific style, budget, and lifestyle needs. We’re very particular when it comes to these details, especially regarding fabric choices. These are your investment pieces and we want to ensure that the overall quality of each item will be able to withstand normal to excessive wear and tear and be enjoyed for years to come.

Full service design also includes styling services, which ultimately means no detail is overlooked. Your home will be finished with everything you need from you the moment you walk through the door. With the launch of our Mac & Co. Shoppe, we are able to provide all of these items at discounted rates to our clients. However, we know that our design services aren’t for everyone. So, if we can’t work together on a project, you are still able to purchase items you love and have likely seen in our recent designs.

The living area truly feels like home and that is exactly what we set out to create.

Custom Built-In Shelving

We worked with a local cabinet maker to design these custom shelves to display our Mac & Co. Shoppe product. We wanted them to appear as if they had always been there and be constructed similar to built-in shelving you may have in your own home. We plan to change these shelves out both seasonally and as our product assortment changes.

By displaying product, clients and customers can see how their home could come together in a similar fashion with each individual element being considered. From hand soap to accent pillows and everything in between, no detail is overlooked in order to make your home feel like a home.

The Living Area Sideboard

We took this blank wall and used it as an opportunity to showcase another furnishing piece from a vendor we love and use often. This is a ready made sideboard that has somewhat of an antique look and is constructed of solid wood, therefore making it an affordable, high quality piece. Inside, there are adjustable shelves that are perfect for storing items you may not use every day, but still want to have them be easily accessible. This is a functional piece that could be used in a living room, dining room, or perhaps an entry way. Another great example of a piece we would likely suggest for your home.

The Entry

As you can see, we removed a portion of the wall along the staircase to create more of an open feel in what we’re considering our entry way space. This also creates a more pronounced staircase moment that leads the eye up and invites you to our second floor design studio.

In this space we’ve positioned a vintage hutch that traveled with us from our previous studio and has been repurposed to display various Mac & Co. Shoppe products. We created a quaint seating area with a beautiful black accent chair and gold taboret. When it’s not in use, the chair works well to display one of our custom pillows.

Stay tuned for a reveal of the kitchen - coming soon!
